Link would be nice !
They are on the bay under new listings.. I have been waiting to see these forever, if I wasn't in audio heaven I would pay up to 7k for these beauties. Dual 416's, 288g's and 802d's. Wow they are cool!!!
Your neighbors called. They like your music.
So does this have the 511E for the 288 and run the 802 without a horn?
Sorry AB for no link, thanks OG for providing one, in your link on closer inspection, these are not in good condition, seems they have been reconed and Altec would have never put screws through the center of the cabinet baffle.... I am bummed I was getting itchy fingers....
If you read these are not Rod's but "just like"

Not all vegetables make good leaders.
Judging by the turntables placed just above the speaker I would think that Rod listened to LPs at a lowish level, using the tape recorder for loud listening.![]()
Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.
I can tell you from first hand experience going back many years that if the speaker enclosures are acoustically "dead" enough, the turntable plinth/bearing/platter/tonearm system is acoustically "dead" enough, and the room/acoustic space cooperates it is possible to enjoy clean high SPLs while playing your favorite vinyl.
While i don't recommend it as a set-up by any stretch, i used to like to impress our buddies by placing my brother's Kenwood KD-600 on top of one of his model Seventeens, and cranking Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" for them, and then send them home to try the same thing with their system. Model seventeen has an amazingly solid, and heavily damped cabinet made by Hill Craft. ..................... and the plinth on a KD-600 is also an impressive mass.
